    From Logitech with love

    Nivas Loves Logitech

    Whooopiiiii!

Two days after the initial post about material issues with Logitech G9 mouse I got contacted by Logitech account manager. During the quite a long telephone conversation we discussed, among other subjects, what to do with my G9, and came to a conclusion that it would be the best if I could return the combat tested and damaged mouse so Logitech can test it and see how to fix this problem, and I would promptly get new G9.

Today UPS delivery guy showed up with my new G9. Considering Christmas and all adjacent holidays I would call this quite fast. All that is left now is to meet up with Logitech rep here in Zagreb, and return the old mouse. Sweet.

The level of professionalism displayed by Logitech is really outstanding. Customers are used to be treated like dirt - if your new mobile phone breaks down, in my firm belief and first hand experience, manufacturer and retailer will find a way to avoid you and your pitiful requests for help. However, Logitech promptly jumped to action and quickly solved an issue that is not even (completely) their fault - damage to a product caused by using the product is normally not covered by any warranty.

Just looking at this from marketing and advertising perspective, Logitech retained me as a customer for life, and I spoke about this to my friends further increasing word-of-mouth advertising. Is that worth one mouse? Hell yea!

    Thanks Logi!

    We worship Logitech, but …

    Update to this post!

Nivas design division is a great fan of Logitech, and we worship Logitech mice. We use mouse over 10 hours per day (hard core Photoshop, and gaming), and we REALLY know our mice.

2 weeks ago we switched to Logitech G9, to replace old G5 that was in use for quite some time now.

G9 is really great mouse, and better than G5. It has radical new design, but believe us, it is awesome. Scroll wheel which does not go click-by-click but rather spins freely, so you can just hit it and it scrolls automatically is so revolutionary that it alone would justify buying it (scrolling hundreds of layers in Photoshop or scrolling a huge web page is just awesome).

    HOWEVER

G9's shell is not actually made out of some space age material, rather it is a "sticker" that is just coated over the normal plastic.

All of my mice so far have a dent in the right side where my little finger lays, and so far this was not a problem since all of the other mice where made out of consistent material, and the dent was just that - a DENT in that material. I would even call it a feature since my little finger would lay down into that dent.

Yesterday i got a small cut on G9 which in 1 day grew into peeled off hole, and it spreads further. As i use my mouse i expect that hole to grow and grow and eventually it will peel off rendering mouse unusable.

On the high res picture you can even see small bubbles forming on the area where my ring-finger is, and i expect that to pop and peel off soon too.

What to do? Even if Logitech accepts that this is a flaw and replaces my mouse, this will happen again in 2 weeks. Maybe if Logitech made a new shell which is in one solid block of material instead of sticker, but until then i am stuck with this ... And contrary to popular opinion, i do cut my claws, so it is not that my nails ruin the mice.

    Here are pictures:

Here is high-res G9 where bubbles can be seen.

    New Adobe.com is released

Adobe made new site. It does not have Adobe logo clearly displayed.

I will not even make comment about that.

Furthermore, the only logo on the site is placed close to RIGHT ALIGNED search box, meaning that if a user has wide screen monitor (as most of developers using Adobe products do) logo will fly so far to the right side that it will completely lose relevancy to the site. Effectively meaning - Adobe.com does not have ANY corporate branding on the site. Wait ... what?

    Croatian traditional wallpaper

Hello boys and girls, and those feeling like it! It is history lesson now.

Whole of Eastern Europe has this stupid tradition of putting round (roundish at least) shaped decorative lace on top of the TV set, and then a vase or some similar decoration on that. The problem is that TV sets are getting thinner and thinner, leading to the problem of lace starting to cover the TV screen. And since it is in tradition, no one has a problem with lace covering up half of the telly.

    cipka

Anyways, in good spirit, since we cannot ship you lace, we made wallpapers for your desktop so you too can feel the Croatian tradition.

Download, apply, feel like we do! All wallpapers are high quality PNG files, with black background (TV turned off mode).
